The final phase of the PROSIT Project began in March 2025, with the activation of WP5 “Validation of technology in the field”.
Objective? To verify the effectiveness of endophytic microorganisms against water stress and develop a procedure to produce commercial material ready for the field! 💧🌿
Thanks to the valuable collaboration between the University of Palermo and the Vivai Mannone company, 100 cuttings of the Grillo variety have been planted in pots, after root inoculation with the beneficial microorganisms isolated in the early stages of the project.
The plants are now in the experimental field of the CNR IBBR in Collesano, where they are constantly monitored. The first shoots have already appeared, a promising sign for the success of the experiment!
