The PROSIT Project participated in OPENGPB2024 (www.opengpb2024.com), an international Forum on vine physiology and biotechnology research, from 7 to 11 July in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain. The conference was an opportunity for multidisciplinary interaction for scientists and viticulture professionals to exchange and discuss the latest advances in these fields of research.
The PROSIT Project, financed by the European Programme PRIMA and coordinated by the University of Padua – which aims to find a solution to drought in vineyards – presented a poster entitled ‘Selection of beneficial endophytes from Sicilian grapevine germplasm‘ – Abstract available at https://ives-openscience.eu/45065/ – realised by the University of Padua, Department of Biology and the CNR-IBBR of Palermo.
The poster highlights the results of a research conducted as part of the Project centred on the study and use of endophytic microorganisms in agriculture. Positive feedback from researchers and viticulture professionals present at the Forum engaged, like the PROSIT Project, in the great challenges of the sector, there to share with the world scientific community the progress achieved in research.
